The Sunflower has been Ukraine’s national flower for a long time but it has quickly become a global symbol of solidarity for the country and its’ people.
As Sunflowers have a special place in our hearts, we would like to help show our support for the people of Ukraine by sharing a few organizations that are doing good work to help those that need it most.
H.E.R.O (Humanitarian Emergency Response Operations) Society
H.E.R.O. Society is a registered non-profit in Canada and a registered charity in Ukraine. H.E.R.O is 100% volunteer-operated, existing to provide humanitarian aid, disaster relief and emergency response support worldwide.
Maple Hope Foundation
Founded in 2014, Maple Hope Foundation is a registered Canadian Non-for-Profit Organization raising funds to support Ukraine as they resist Russia’s unprovoked invasion. They focus on three critical areas: medical support, refugee women and children, and non-lethal supplies for the front-line defenders (food, protection equipment, communication devices, clothes).
