About the Festival

Harrison Sunflower Festival –

Formerly the Chilliwack Sunflower Festival

Not opening for 2024 Season

The Harrison Sunflower Festival is an ode to one of the best seasons of the year—summer! The fun begins in August and runs into early-mid September, with acres of beautiful blooming Sunflowers, Dahlias, Cosmos & Zinnias!

What’s On at the Festival?

This year we have decided to take the summer and fall to build and cultivate new attractions which will allow us to offer more spectacular festivals in the future, including the 2025 Harrison Tulip Festival planned for next spring.

What to Expect

Wondering what to expect when you visit the Harrison Sunflower Festival? Here’s a summary!

  • 14 acres of flowers, with 5-8 acres in bloom at any given time in phases for the entire festival.
  • Dahlias, zinnias and cosmos bursting with colour!
  • Two sunflower display gardens featuring nearly 45 different varieties of Sunflowers.
  • Unique photo opportunities – check out our three vintage Dutch bikes, giant Dutch wooden shoe, selfie frames, and three swing sets, our 1950s Morris vintage car, vintage horse carriage, vintage Airstream trailer with a faux-fire pit (made of sunflowers, of course!), or perch yourself atop one of our field-viewing platforms.
  • A U-pick field – wander this area with a set of clippers until you find the perfect sunflowers to take home, and we now offer FIVE varieties to choose from!
  • A food truck is on-site daily, ready to serve you.
  • The Farm Shop – pick up some fresh-cut sunflowers, bulbs & seeds for your garden, postcards, photo cards, souvenirs, and more!
  • Covered picnic area – you’ll find lots of shade among the sunflowers but you can also enjoy a cold drink or lunch out of the sun on our outside sitting area with a covered area and umbrellas.
  • Free parking – We have around 7 acres of grass field parking!
  • Accessible to all – Accessible parking is located adjacent to the entrance.  Just remember we are on a farm and we are completely weather dependent. We have a concrete sitting area and store right near our entrance gate.
