It’s been proven that time spent outdoors can boost your mood. Now, add to that, acres of vibrant Sunflowers, Dahlias, and Gladiolas in a gorgeous mountain setting and you’ll feel like you found a piece of paradise! You’ve probably heard of “forest bathing”; it’s time to try some soothing “sunflower bathing”. Ready to experience it for yourself? Here are five things you need to know about the 2020 Harrison Sunflower Experience!

WE ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK

The 2020 Harrison Sunflower Experience is NOW OPEN. Our ours of operation are Thursday – Monday 7am – 6pm; and Tuesdays & Wednesdays 9am – 6pm. Due to this year’s health and safety concerns, we’ve had to streamline ticket sales: tickets are available online only. But don’t worry: it’s very quick and easy to purchase a ticket: visit here and you’ll be all set up in a matter of minutes!

YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY ARE IMPORTANT TO US

Your health and safety are at the top of our minds, so we’ve reimagined the usual components of the Harrison Sunflower Experience in order to allow you plenty of safe, family-friendly ways to enjoy it. Tickets are sold online in one-hour time slots, and the field’s capacity will be limited to approximately 25%. This way, we ensure fewer faces in bigger spaces! With directional pathways that are 3-5 metres wide, and hand-sanitizing stations located in multiple locations throughout the fields, you can feel safe and comfortable while you immerse yourself in beautiful blooms.

GET ADVANCE TICKET SAVINGS

Buy your tickets early and SAVE! Purchase your tickets the day before your desired time, and you’ll save $5 on general entry tickets and $2 on children’s tickets (ages 3-12). Kids 2 and under are always free. Tickets sell fast so book your preferred date and time now to reserve your spot.

MORE THAN JUST SUNFLOWERS

You don’t have to wait for the “right time” to see the fullest blooms: the flowers are planted in phases to allow for a succession of dazzling blooms throughout the entire season. This year we have 25 different varieties of sunflowers, including our stunning Sunrich Orange Sunflowers, our Giant Sunflowers and two display gardens. For the second year, we are happy to share a field of over 50 varieties of Dahlias, and new this year: six varieties of gorgeous Gladiolas! The bounty of happy blossoms and blooms in a kaleidoscope of colors are sure to delight! Photo props are scattered throughout the fields, and include vintage bicycles, a rustic 1950s car, swing sets, a mini church, raised platforms and more! They’ll add a special feel and flair to your photos.
